Enroll

If you wish to register your child to attend your home school (the school in your neighborhood), you will want to complete the online registration application via ParentVUE. You must have a valid email address to complete the application.

You will need the following items when enrolling your child in the Liberty Elementary School District:

• A completed online registration application. REMEMBER- only a parent or legal guardian may enroll a student.

• A copy of your child’s birth certificate.

• One proof of residency which must be a current utility bill, lease/mortgage document, or notarized letter indicating that you are residing with another family. Complete the shared residence form. 

• A photo ID for the parent/legal guardian.

• A copy of up to date immunizations (AZ School Immunization Requirements) or the Personal Beliefs Exemption Form.

• A copy of your child’s withdrawal form if you are coming from another school in Arizona.

Since Arizona is an open enrollment state, this allows parents to apply for admission to any public school, as long as there is classroom space available. 

Parents choose to open enroll their child in another school or school district for a variety of different reasons such as the program offerings, the teaching philosophy, extracurricular activities or a closer proximity to work.

The Liberty Elementary School District has an open-enrollment program as set forth in ARS15-816 et seq. District resident students may enroll in another school district or in another school within this District.

El Distrito Escolar Primario Liberty tiene un programa de inscripción abierta como se establece en ARS15-816 et seq. Los estudiantes residentes del Distrito pueden inscribirse en otro distrito escolar o en otra escuela dentro de este Distrito.

Open Enrollment Requirements

Resident transfer students and nonresident students may enroll in schools with Liberty, subject to the procedures that follow:

• An individual application must be filled out completely for each student.
• An Open Enrollment application is approved for one school year only. A new Open Enrollment application must be submitted each year for consideration.
• Open Enrollment approval is based on student enrollment at each school, grade, and special program along with parent and student compliance to the Parent/Student Open Enrollment Agreement.
• Returning student’s Open Enrollment application(s) must be received by March 15th of the current school year for next school year placement decisions.
• Open Enrollment decisions will be emailed to the email address provided no later than April 1st.
• Transportation is the responsibility of the Parent/Guardian.

Los estudiantes transferidos residentes y los estudiantes no residentes pueden inscribirse en escuelas con Liberty, sujeto a los siguientes procedimientos:

• Se debe completar una solicitud individual para cada estudiante.
• Una solicitud de inscripción abierta se aprueba solo para un año escolar. Se debe presentar una nueva solicitud de inscripción abierta cada año para su consideración.
• La aprobación de la Inscripción Abierta se basa en la inscripción de los estudiantes en cada escuela, grado y programa especial junto con el cumplimiento de los padres y estudiantes del Acuerdo de Inscripción Abierta de Padres/Estudiantes.
• Las solicitudes de Inscripción Abierta del estudiante que regresa deben recibirse antes del 15 de marzo del año escolar actual para las decisiones de colocación del próximo año escolar.
• Las decisiones de inscripción abierta se enviarán por correo electrónico a la dirección de correo electrónico proporcionada a más tardar el 1 de abril.
• El transporte es responsabilidad del padre/tutor.
